The current noise problem in the audio system, especially the intermittent noise, is usually caused by a loop in the power ground wire or the power supply is not grounded. This problem not only affects the sound quality, but may also be transmitted to the human body through the audio equipment panel or wired microphone, causing an electric shock.
You can refer to the following four troubleshooting methods to try to solve it:
1. Common ground processing
Connect the power ground terminals of the video equipment and the audio equipment together to achieve common ground, which can eliminate the ground loop and reduce the current noise.
2. Floating ground switch
If there is a floating ground switch (GroundLift/GNDLIFT) on the back panel of the audio equipment, turn it to separate the power ground and the signal ground, thereby eliminating noise.
3. Audio isolation transformer
Add an audio isolation transformer between the computer audio output and the mixer input, or between the KTV set-top box audio output and the front-end input socket. The isolation transformer can cut off the ground loop formed by the direct connection of the ground wire of the audio cable, and prevent the induction electricity on the video equipment motherboard from entering the audio system to generate noise.
4. Disconnect the ground terminal
Break off the ground terminal on the power plug of the device, that is, disconnect the ground terminal of the audio or video device power supply, so that the ground loop can be cut off. However, this may sometimes cause electric shock when touching the panel or shell of the audio device, so it is not recommended.
The above methods can effectively solve the current sound problem in the audio system and improve the sound quality experience.
